• The webinar highlighted the idea of Solving the Root Problem. Associations should not just treat symptoms; rather, they should identify the underlying issues (strategic, operational, people, or process-related) to ensure effective technology solutions.
• The phrase "Buy, Don't Be Sold"  was emphasized during the webinar. Technology acquisitions should be approached with clear requirements, a strong business case for return on investment (ROI), and a focus on user experience to ensure the chosen solution truly meets your association's needs and delivers value.
• View technology through a "Love It or List It" lens. This means evaluating existing systems to determine if they can be revamped/optimized ("love it") or if a full replacement is necessary ("list it"). 
• Technology cannot solve all problems. The success of technology implementation relies on addressing skill gaps, providing training, optimizing workflows, and managing organizational change, not just the technology itself. 
• Conduct regular system inventories. It is essential to proactively analyze all technologies, their purposes, and data flows to identify redundancies, security risks, and potential cost savings.
